Because every child is as precious as gold
Proceeds fund research and support for families facing pediatric brain cancer.

Ronil Mehta
2003 – 2018
In January 2016, our founders’ son Ronil was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive pediatric brain cancer, at age 12.
He faced the next 31 months with extraordinary courage, staying the curious, fun-loving kid he always was.
When he passed in September 2018, his family donated his tumor to Stanford for research as it was his final wish, so that future children might have a better chance. His legacy inspired our founders to launch the Brave Ronil Foundation (BRF) in 2026.
Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, yet only 8% of federal cancer research funding goes to pediatric cancer.
Sources: National Cancer Institute; SEER, National Cancer Institute.
The Brave Ronil Foundation exists so that no family faces pediatric brain cancer alone. We fund promising research, support families through diagnosis and treatment, and raise awareness and advocate for change so future children have hope where today there is none.
Before BRF, our founders’ nonprofit work helped raise $450,000+, directed to 8 research projects at 10+ institutions, and supported 50+ families. The Golden Gala funds BRF’s next chapter.
